We were passing thru the area and looking for a place for a quick lunch. Did a area search on local restaurants and since our son is a biker we couldn't pass up Barney's. We were on our way to a family buriel in a town nearby. Sunday and not too many people moving. Our party of four was their first Sunday noon visitors. We were intrigued by their reviews, our biker son accompanied us, said it had to be a must stop. Barney's did not disappoint! No bikers were spotted while we were there BUT their home cooked food stood out. The hand pattied burgers were thick and cooked to perfection. Infact, should be entered into Iowa’s best burger contest. Think about that cooks! The fried tenderloin was also ordered, over flowing the bun, it was thick showing white tenderized pork, delicious....again job well done, cook's. The last order was broasted white meat chicken. Barney's, you should be bragging it up, the cook has the touch! Thank you for a great Sunday lunch, great service, a perfect place for bikers and non-bikers alike. #twodays

When ever I get a chance to step into the past ..... I do it. Old original one piece bar - - - every board in the floor has its own story. You could call it "Cheers", where everybody knows your name. The areas meeting place for friends, family, food & drink. Kids welcome.

We had a stop here for our motorcycle group. Seems like they did a good job handling all of the people from 60+ bikes.
